Delaware State University

At Delaware State University, I did more than build my skills — I built platforms. From producing live football and basketball broadcasts to hosting halftime shows on ESPN+, I was in the action, behind the camera and on screen. I helped reboot DESU-TV, launching segments like Around Campus and Drip Cam, and trained fellow students in camera work, editing, and curating their own shows.

I created news packages, anchored broadcast segments, and brought stories to life through stand-ups and field reporting — some of which are now part of my portfolio. One of the highlights? Co-leading a student team that earned a $40,000 production grant from Coca-Cola and The Academy, with a project that went on to win an Emmy Award.

DSU was my training ground, but also my launchpad — where I learned to lead, tell stories with intention, and make space for others to shine, too.
